Welcome to my 2024 reading wrapped. Here I will recap all of my reading stats for the year.
Totals book read: 50 books
Total Authors: Out of 50 books, I read 29 different authors throughout the year.
Top Authors: Of course I have my favorites so my top authors of 2024 were:

Top Reads:

At this point, I would usually do a top genre and the stats for the formats I read, however, this year they were all romance and they were all paperback so I won't waste your time.
Top Book Series:

2024 read I did NOT enjoy:
Pucking Around - Emily Rath
People say they loved this book but personally, there was too much sex for me. (yes, that's a thing) Based on my reads in 2024, I obviously have no problem with sex in books, however, I wasn't vibing with it in this book. It starts in chapter 18, which usually is about where it starts, but this book's chapters are extremely short so chapter 18 is like chapter 3 in a normal book, which was already weird. Another thing: the story is about a woman who falls in love with three different guys from the same hockey team. It was like every time she was with one of the guys, they were doing something sexual rather than just being with each other. It's like they couldn't be together without getting physical and then were claiming they loved each other after a few weeks. For me, there was barely any story to it and the characters lacked an emotional love connection which is what I read these books for. I DNF'd this book with about 20 chapters left.
Long Shot - Kennedy Ryan
I'm not sure what it was about this book but I wasn't vibing with it. Maybe it was the massive time jump and the book being split into two parts but I don't know. All I know is that I ended up DNF-ing it and rating it 1 star.
Funny Feelings - Tarah Dewitt
This book was quite confusing to me. It goes back and forth between the past and present. Like I'm talking alternating chapters where one takes place in the past then the next jumps back to the present. It was essentially covering the story of how the characters met about 3 years earlier while also covering their current blossoming love. I will say, I completely missed the text at the beginning of the second chapter that said "38 months ago" and I was CONFUSED. I didn't realize until about the fourth chapter that it was alternating but even with knowing, it was still confusing and kind of hard to keep up with.
Dare You to Hate Me - B. Celeste
I rated this book 2 stars because the FMC pissed me AWF countless times. It's been almost a year since I've read this so I don't exactly remember what she was doing but I know she kept messing up the relationship. However, the second book I thoroughly enjoyed and I rated 4 stars so.
If the Sun Never Sets - Ana Huang
This one is the opposite of the last one. I read the first book and liked it enough to give it 3 stars but this one was a struggle for me to read. I think the first problem is that I struggle with duet books. That's why I have yet to finish Keeping 13 after reading (and liking) Binding 13. I think I just need it all to be in one book. I enjoy reading series where the characters are all connected but not when the characters' story carries into the next book. My other issue is that it's a second-chance romance and I do not enjoy those. Probably because I'm big on not giving people second chances when they mess up big time. Overall, I had to force myself to finish this book and that's not fun.
And I think that wraps up my 2024 reading wrapped. Stick around for my 2025 reads!
